Abstract: This report details Cyprus' work on most of the large number of tenements the JV controls in the Brocks Creek area. The 1993 exploration program comprised the acquisition of additional aeromagnetic data plus gridding/surveying, Induced Polarisation, costeaning, soil sampling, detailed mapping and substantial RC and diamond drilling programmes, and a regional vacuum bedrock geochemical drilling sampling programme. The Brocks Creek tenements cover a sheared and thrust-faulted, discontinuously gold-mineralised anticline (BKZ). Significant mineralisation at Alligator, Faded Lilly, John Bull and Zapopan is associated with veining through units of the Gerowie Tuff, in zones of shearing/thrusting along the axis of the BKZ. Mineralisation discovered at Rising Tide , 2.5km across strike from Faded Lilly and well off the BKZ but close to an apparently major cross structure, is hosted to a Koolpin Fm. unit. The Brocks Creek area appears to be in a 'mega-jog' in the loosely defined Pine Creek Shear Zone. There is significant amount of coarse Au at Brocks Creek and the mineralisation is associated with a lower sulphide content than at many other mines in the district. These are probably tow major factors in the metallurgical recovery for both oxides and sulphide being +95% in 48 hour cyanide leach tests. Tests indicate that 63% of the sulphide zone gold could be recovered in a gravity circuit. A study estimated mineable reserves at Alligator and Fadad lilly to be 6.8 million tonnes grading 2.02 g/t uncut, or 1.77g/t cut, at a stripping ratio of 2.93:1.
