Title: Bonaparte 2 (Australia) - Optical and geochemical study of the organic matter (1500-6000') and Comparison with Lesueur 1, Keep River 1 and Mining Exploration Bore Holes
Title Holder / Company: Australian Aquitaine Petroleum
Report id: PR1982-0008
Tenure: OP186
Year: 1981
Corporate Author: Australian Aquitaine Petroleum
Abstract: Wells and mineral bore holes discussed in this report are Keep River 1, Lesueur 1, Bonaparte 2 (WA Well), WBN3, NBO1001, NBF1002, WBN5004, NBH1001, WBJ1001, DDH2, DH11.
Part 1. The quantity of organic matter (1%) and is quality (mostly Ligneous) give to the whole studied interval (1500-6000') an average to fair gas potential in spite of a maturation stage corresponding to the oil diagenetic zone.
Part 2. The comparison between oil and mineral exploration wells show a decrease of the quantity of organic matter but an improvement of its quality in direction of the southern margins.
