Abstract: The work carried out during year 3 has focussed on the interpretation of anomalies identified from the ultra-detailed airborne magnetic and radiometric survey that was flown over the most prospective southern portion of the tenement during year 2. High resolution satellite imagery has been acquired and processed and limited mapping and rock-chip sampling work conducted. Modelling results have shown that the high amplitude magnetic anomalies occurring within the fold nose and flanks of the overturned Spider anticline have a predicted depth of between 80m to 100m and widths of approximately 200m. These magnetic features are likely to represent massive sulphide (pyrrhotite) lenses in the Koolpin Formation. Radiometric data has been used to produce a preliminary interpreted geological domain map of the surveyed area. High resolution Ikonos satellite imagery acquired over the area has been used to prepare base maps of the area for ground activities and also as an aid for regolith, geological and structural interpretation processes. Multi-spectral ASTER data was also acquired but has not yet been fully processed. Non-invasive ground work has consisted of geological contact mapping and outcrop rock-chip sampling over several prospective areas. Results from the geochemical analyses of the rock chip samples are awaited. The program proposed for year 4 includes an intensive evaluation of the iron-ore prospectivity of the Wildman siltstone unit together with follow-up work on several magnetic features and includes rock-chip sampling, geophysical surveying and combination RC/diamond drilling. Heritage clearance surveys will be conducted, the appropriate authorisations obtained and a Mining Management Plan established prior to conducting any works imparting significant disturbance.
