Abstract: | During 2010 two phases of field work were conducted resulting in the taking of 131 stream sediment samples, 270 soil samples and 117 rock samples. Sampling was conducted utilising a combination of quad bike and helicopter. Samples were concentrated and as such assay results are qualitative and allow for relatively accurate vectoring to the location of the source but do not necessarily provide any indication of grade of the source. From the work that has been carried out to date, IGO has identified that the source of the cassiterite, located in streams within and east of the breakaway forming the western margin of outcropping Winnecke Granophyre, is west of the breakaway heading undercover and possibly related to a large magnetic feature in the northern area of the tenement. Drill testing undercover will be carried out during 2011. |
