Title: Second annual and final surrender report for EL 27128 Three Ways
Title Holder / Company: Rum Jungle Resources
Report id: CR2011-0530
Tenure: EL27128
Year: 2011
Author: Dunster, J
Abstract: EL 27128 was held to explore for Tennant Creek-style IOCGU mineralisation, vein-type and unconformity-type uranium mineralisation. A 2277 line km airborne geophysical survey (magnetics and radiometrics) was flown at 100 m line spacing in a north south orientation at 30 m flying height by UTS Geophysics. Two ground gravity surveys were completed by Atlas Geophysics on EL 27128 with a total of 777 stations collected on a 50 m x 50 m grid pattern. Geological prospecting was undertaken using a NITON handheld XRF. Selected samples were collected and further analysed by NITON back in the office. A systematic soil/LAG sampling program was conducted over the two geophysically surveyed areas, and a third soil grid was orientated over a uranium radiometric anomaly. In all, seven rock chip samples, 50 soil samples and 156 lag samples were collected in addition to field XRF measurements. The only statistically significant results were: Grid 1 - U 8 ppm, Co 8.5 ppm, Grid 2 - Au 2 ppb (Soil), and Grid3 - Co 26 ppm, Zn 18 ppm, Pb 55 ppm. EL 27128 has been thoroughly and methodically tested by geophysical surveys and surface sampling, all within two years. Desktop studies have failed to generate any new leads. EL 27128 was surrendered.
