Abstract: | The area was applied for to test the potential for all minerals. The area contains a small uranium anomaly as well as old tin and gold workings. The Uranium Prospect indicates that the potential is small, however, previous scintillometer readings were four times background which is considered anomalous but no further work was carried out on this particular prospect. Imperial has so far determined another area with similar values, and therefore future work will partly concentrate on these two areas. A reconnaissance trip was carried out in October 2006 to determine access of the area for sampling programmes with possible auger drilling. A further reconnaissance was carried out at the beginning of June 2007 and on both occasions access was a predominant problem. 11 rock chip samples were collected in mid June 2007 along established access routes. Sample results are pending. |
