Abstract: Viv-8 was drilled to a total depth of 408m. The Vivid Ironstone system was intersected between 278.5mdh to 353mdh. The best intercept being 10m at 1.8g-t Au, 0.83% Bi and 7.5m at 3.00% Cu. Down hole magnetics indicates that the system maintains a 48.5 degree west plunge. Comparison of various geophysical techniques at the Vivid Prospect indicates that magnetics is the only direct discovery technique. Vivid, Raia's Revenge, and Golden Slipper appear to lie on an east west to north south orientated gravity ridge which is enhanced by a low bounding it, which is interpreted as being related to an intrusive body. Ground magnetics run over this ridge failed to highlight any magnetic signatures indicative of ironstone lodes or shear zones at shallow depth. P17 magnetic anomaly was followed up and tested by drilling. No alteration or geochemical anomalism were encountered in the hole. A second hole is required to fully test the anomaly.
Raia's Revenge Prospect is also known as Queen Alexandria.
Report reiterates the regional geology of Tennant Creek and known metallogenesis of deposits in the Tennant Creek area.
