Abstract: Tanami Gold NL (TGNL) identified the potential for Selwyn-style copper-gold and Coronation Hill-style gold-PGM mineralisation in the Harts Range region of Central Australia. TGNL, through its wholly owned subsidiary Tanami Exploration NL (TENL), acquired a significant tenement holding in the district to test for these styles of mineralisation. These tenements formed the Harts Range Project. Exploration Licences 23193, 23194, 23195 and 23365 were part of TENL's Harts Range Project. All four tenements were granted on 23 December 2002 to TENL and were surrendered on 12 November 2004. This report describes the exploration on all four exploration licences from grant to surrender. The Harts Range Project area is about 140 kilometres east northeast of Alice Springs in Central Australia. The surrendered Exploration Licences are located on the Illogwa Creek 1:250,000 geological sheet (SF53-15) and are mostly underlain by high-grade metamorphic rocks of the Entia Gneiss Complex of the Strangways Metamorphic Complex and Irindina Province and retrograde metamorphic rocks in the the Florence Creek Detachment Zone. Exploration on the relinquished ground consisted of a detailed assessment of the entire region including a comprehensive geological interpretation. No field exploration was carried out.
