Abstract: Magnetic anomalies G101, GW306, GW307, GW308 and GW411 were selected for ground examinations after qualitative interpretation of data from earlier aeromagnetic surveys and extrapolation of data from the BONNNY WELL 1:250,000 sheet, the TENNANT CREEK 1:63360 sheet and data from reconnaissance geological traverses. Generally; the areas considered to be underlain by sediments of the Warramunga Group and granites; although complete lack of basement outcrop west of the Claypan and Kelly West precluded reliable interpretation. The aeromagnetic pattern in the areas selected, showed disturbance; Suggesting a possible favourable environmentt within Warramunqa Group rocks. Generally; the exploration was aimed at delineation of a magnetic source similar to the magnetite bodies associated with copper-gold mineralization in the Tennant Creek area.
