Abstract: | 152 heavy mineral-geochemical samples were collected. 44 of the heavy mineral samples returned chromites. These were regarded as basaltic in origin. No kimberlitic indicators were observed. The geochemical samples returned some minor localised copper anomalism (max value 188ppm), and broad zinc anomalism associated with the flow tops of the Antrim Plateau Volcanics (max value 702ppm). A portion of the relinquished area was included in an airborne survey (line spacing 200m, direction N-S, Terrain Clearance 60m). No anomalies were outlined. |
