Abstract: | Rock chip sampling at the Pyromorphite prospect over a strike length of 1700m returned low level anomalous values (0.1-0.3g-t Au) along its length with slightly higher values in the south. Trenching returned a high of 0.88g-t. The results indicate a general low grade for the prospect with the best potential in the south. Sampling at Philip Greets showed the area to be essentially barren of gold mineralisation but returned high copper values from the dumps and mullock heaps making it an unattractive target. Box Reef returned low level gold values (0.2-0.3g-t) sporadically along strike similar to the Old Company Prospect. The best potential in the area for economic mineralisation is the Old Company Prospect, further work is required in the Box Reef and the southern end of the Pyromorphite prospect to determine their potential. |
