Year: | 1992 |
Abstract: | This report is submitted as a requirement of the statutory relinquishment of 247 blocks out of EL 5418 and summarises work carried out on the relinquished areas. Exploration undertaken in the first year of tenure comprised of data acquisition and interpretation. The open-file airborne magnetic data have been purchased and data sets were processed and interpreted. Colour aerial photography was also flown and Landsat images were purchased. All available data were utilized in order to assist in preparation and target selection. Target area 2 is located in the relinquished area and represents a dipole magnetic anomaly. This area is entirely covered with laterite, which makes it inadequate for sampling. Nevertheless seven laterite samples were collected during the second year of tenure, which did not show any anomalism. |
