EL 7934 McDermotts Creek, NT partial relinquishment report for period ending 02-12-1995

Abstract

The relinquished portion of the licence was examined for base metal and diamond potential. Initially 9 gravel, 8 -80# stream and 2 rock chip samples were collected and analysed. No anomalous geochemical values were obtained and the gravel samples proved negative for kimberlitic indicators. In year 2 an airborne magnetic survey was completed. This outlined two low amplitude dipole anomalies which were followed up by ground magnetics which did not reflect dipolar characteristics. Loam and soil samples were collected. Results were negative. No work was completed in year 3.
