Title: EL 7873 Supplejack 08-11-1992 to 07-11-1993 annual report

Author: Morrison, D
Abstract: Exploration work during year 1 of tenure consisted of a literature review, interpretation of aeromagnetic data, compilation of previous work and some geochemical sampling. The work started with an early phase of vacuum drilling, which was followed up by lag sampling over the 'Sodor' gold anomaly. This work yielded positive results and hence the anomaly has been identified as a target for a bedrock sampling programme. The peak Au value from drilling was 15ppb and from lag sampling was 6ppb Au. The rock chip samples taken simultaneously to this lag sampling did not yield positive results. The Sodor anomaly lies on the physical boundary between the Winnecke Formation and the Saplejack Sandstone. Late in the year lag sampling was extended to the northern boundary of EL. This programme was designed to test the surface of an area covering the Suplejack lineament and a series of NNE trending aeromagnetic anomalies across the eastern half of the tenement. Results were disapointinting with all results plotting below the detection limit of 1ppb Au. In total 147 lag samples and 5 rock chip samples were collected. Vacuum drilling consisted of 26 holes and 22 drill samples. No appreciable trends are set by the base metal suite of alements however As displays a coherent 20ppm anomaly in the southeast corner of the tenement.
