| Abstract: | Litchfield Minerals Limited completed a regional-scale airborne magnetic and radiometric survey over EL 33568 (Lucy Creek) under the Northern Territory Geophysics and Drilling Collaborations Program, Round 18. The program was designed to materially improve the geological resolution of the project area by upgrading the existing 400 m line spacing magnetic coverage to 200 m line spacing across the full tenement, with targeted 100 m infill over the Lucy Creek 2 and Halfway Dam prospects. The objective was to generate a high-quality lithostructural framework to support exploration for manganese, Mississippi Valley-type base metals and kimberlitic/related intrusive targets within the southern Georgina Basin. The survey was flown in early 2026 and comprised approximately 5,561 line kilometres of airborne magnetics and radiometrics across EL 33568. The work was undertaken by MAGSPEC Airborne Surveys using a Cessna 210 platform equipped with a caesium vapour magnetometer, gamma-ray spectrometer, radar and laser altimeters, DGPS navigation and a magnetic base station network. The new dataset significantly improves the capacity to map lithological boundaries, structural corridors, basement architecture and prospect-scale magnetic features beneath cover. The data are considered suitable to underpin a revised lithostructural interpretation of the tenement and to refine targeting at Lucy Creek 2, Halfway Dam and additional regional targets. The program successfully met its objective of delivering a materially improved geophysical framework and is expected to directly support future target generation and follow-up exploration across the broader Lucy Creek Project. |
