Abstract

Various RC drilling programs were successfully carried out this year to improve the confidence of the resource model, and to include additional potential resource along the fringes. Furthermore, close space drilling has been successful in improving the resolution of the ore horizon for short term planning. The 2019/20 drill program will focus on additional RC infill drilling in areas of increased complexity, and in areas along the fringes of the resource in order to improve the confidence in areas outlined in the current 5 to 8 year mine plan footprint. Regional drilling is planned for the south and western parts of the mining leases in order to improve confidence and add additional resource in areas of sparse drill coverage. A diamond drilling program is planned for 2019/20 to update current geometallurgical assumptions in the resource and grade control models. Follow up GPR surveys are planned when conditions are more favourable to test the suitability of the method to defining continuity of the ore horizon, and to test the validity of historic edge of ore boundaries. Subsequent resource model updates will include all new data received during the next drilling season. The model will include additional stratigraphic horizons above and below the main horizons based on a revised assessment of potential economic extraction potential.
