Abstract: In May 2018 ABM Resources NL changed its name to Prodigy Gold NL (Prodigy). At the 28th of March 2014 Mineral Lease 29822 was granted to Prodigy (formerly ABM Resources NL), a publicly listed company for a period of 25 years. The ML 29822 of 3.26 km2 is located approximately 820 km NW of Alice Springs near the border to Western Australia (Figure 1). Prodigy acquired the tenement to exploit the gold mineralisation. In 2018, the fourth year of term, Prodigy continued to implement its divestment policy. Negotiations with various parties went ahead after the agreement with ARK Mines Ltd. to operate the Old Pirate gold mine did not eventuate. Post closure monitoring (including water bores) continued at Old Pirate and results will be reported in the Mining Management Plan, update due in September 2019. Comparison of pre-operational and operational water monitoring results with the 2018 results suggest that the original objective of maintaining a similar level of water quality has been met. It was recommended that the Wilsons and Corsair production bores should be properly decommissioned and the sampling for laboratory parameters, major ions and metals/metalloids should be discontinued while the bores are in a decommissioned state.
