Abstract: The Bynoe Project consists of Exploration Licence 30897, approximately 38 km (as the crow flies) southwest of the city of Darwin in the Northern Territory. Lithium Australia NL (LIT) has 100% beneficial ownership of the tenement. LIT is targeting lithium firstly and secondly tin, tantalum and rare earth metals in pegmatites of the Bynoe field of the Leviathan Pegmatite Group. The Leviathan pegmatites lie predominantly within the Burrell Creek Formation, a pelitic sequence of marine sediments, and the pegmatites are zoned bodies with associated greisenisation and kaolinisation. There is a history of tin mining in the area. Exploration work carried out by LIT during the 2018-2019 reporting year included literature review, target generation, field reconnaissance and geochemical sampling on the Leviathan pegmatites and termite nest.
