Title: EL 32292 Annual Report for the Period 22 April 2023 to 21 April 2024
Title Holder / Company: Barkly Operations
Report id: CR2024-0401
Tenure: EL32292
Year: 2024
Author: Simmons, R
Abstract: Exploration Licence EL 32292 is centered approximately 297km east of Tennant Creek and 125km east of Barkly Homestead (Figure 1). The licence can be accessed from Tennant Creek east along the Barkly Highway then via the Ranken Road. The tenement area is covered by extensive grey black clay rich soil plains overlain by localised claypans and sheetwash. The licence is held by Barkly Operations Pty Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Middle Island Resources Limited. The target of exploration in the Barkly area is primarily Tennant Creek style mineralisation, IOCG deposits hosted within the Proterozoic basement and potentially sediment hosted deposits like Mt Isa in the overlying Georgina Basin sediments. Exploration work completed during the 2023-2024 reporting period comprised tenement review and regional geophysical collation. The available geophysics datasets do not allow detailed analysis of the basement structures on EL 32292. Geochemical data collected during historical drilling is under evaluation to determine if any vectors to Proterozoic related mineralisation can be extracted.
