Abstract: EL 30588 consists of 5 graticular blocks situated within the Pine Creek Geosyncline with Proterozoic sediments and metasediments on the license consisting of the South Alligator and Finniss River Groups and I-Type Proterozoic McCarthy's granite outcropping in the south. North of the granite contact is Mount Bonnie Formation and Gerowie Tuff and Zamu Dolerite, Wildman Siltstone and Mundogie Sandstone to the west of the license area. The historic lead-silver McCarthy's mine is located a few kilometres to the west of the license. Field work was carried out on the south western part of the license to collect samples for subsequent pXRF or laboratory measurements to be undertaken over the new exploration year. Geophysics magnetic data processing and map preparation for field work was carried out with a limited amount of magnetic modelling. A northward horizontal derivative applied to magnetics highlighted a potential north-east trending structure within the Mount Bonnie Formation near the edge of the McCathys granite. Target areas include the Mount Bonnie Formation for gold and the Koolpin Formation for gold and base metals.
