Abstract: The Yeuralba group of tenements consists of six tenements: Mineral Claim Northern (MCN) 3839, 3840, 3841, 3842, 3843 and 3844. The leases are situated approximately 68 km north east of Katherine NT, and 3 km north of the old Eva Valley (Manyallaluk) homestead. Newmarket Gold Inc. (a subsidiary of Kirkland Lake Gold) acquired the Yeuralba Group of tenements on 6 November 2009 after purchasing the liquidated assets held by GBS Gold Australia Pty Ltd. The group of tenements are situated on the southern extension of the Pine Creek Orogen (PCO), a tightly folded sequence of Lower Proterozoic rocks that vary in thickness from 10 km in some areas up to 14 km in others. It extends for 66,000 Km, from Darwin in north to Katherine in the south. Rocks from the prospective sector of the Tollis Formation volcanics, greywackes, Maud Dolerite and banded ironstones striking NNW are also found within the tenement area. The sequence is truncated to the north-west by faulting and by outcrops of Eva Valley Granite, a fine grained biotite leucogranite. To the west, the Tollis Formation is intruded by Yeuralba Granite that has greisenised parts at the contact zone. The Copper Flower prospect has been explored for gold and base metals mineralisation since the mid-1960s. During 2013 and 2014 Newmarket Gold Inc. (previously Crocodile Gold Australia) attempted to convert the mineral claims into Mineral Leases. This process still continues. At the beginning of the reporting period, Kirkland Lake Gold ceased all mining, production and regional exploration work at their Northern Territory Operations, instead increasing their exploration activities at both their Union Reefs and Cosmo Deeps sites. No active exploration was completed on the leases during the reporting period.
