Annual Report 2017 to 2018 ML 25205 SunJade Project

Abstract

The Mine Site is the SunJade Project, ML 25205, located approximately 500 Kms from Katherine and about 25 Kms by road south of the township of Kalkarindji. The ML is accessed from the Buchanan Hwy, via Lajamanu Road and a narrow station track which leads to the ML. There are no other mines in the area. Linna Huang surrendered EL 28125 covering an area of 190 Sq. kms around the ML and decided not to pursue other Mineral Leases in the area to allow more area to be available to fossickers. This will allow us to concentrate on ML 25205. ML 25205 is in the Wave Hill map area. During the 2017 - 2016 year no mining was carried out on ML 25205. We had been told that fossickers had left rubbish on the ML and we decided to visit the site to do some clean up. We called in to Wave Hill Station to talk with the Manager and were told that they had some problems with fossickers. It appears that they are causing interference with station running and the station doesn't have time to talk to them. They also said that many people visited the area and didn't have or even seek permission to be there. I agreed to send them details of all fossickers to whom we had granted permission so that if necessary they could check on their credentials in case of problems. They agreed that if we gave consent then it would not be necessary for fossickers to call at the station which wastes employees time.
