Abstract: | Work on-ground during the 4th year tenure was delayed by not gaining access approval for the tenement from the lessee of the land (Department of Defence). The refusal was said to result from the Aboriginal liaison Committee refusing to agree to access for the work proposed, even though the area of the work not including registered sites. Off-site work on the tenement that was carried out comprised:- 1. a revision of the available data by senior geologist Lindsay Curtis; 2. a comprehensive report on the geology of the area (copied into this report); 3. further work carried out by geophysicist Graham Jenke; 4. interpretation by Lindsay Curtis of the geophysics to produce targets for further exploration. The work completed this year will progress the aim of carrying out the proposed further exploration on ground, which is proposed to include drilling, MMI soil sampling and the gravity survey, in 2018/19. |
