Abstract: EL 33492 of 16 sub-blocks is located 120 kilometres northeast of Alice Springs in the Harts Range locale. Geology is complex high-grade Palaeoproterozoic metamorphics of the Harts Range Group. The tenement was secured to assess potential for the critical minerals lithium, niobium and tantalum. Numerous pegmatites, some historically worked for mica +/- beryl, occur in the northeast quadrant of the EL. There are no mines, deposits or drillholes within the tenement area. The area has been explored in the past for base metals, precious metals, nickel, uranium and garnet. No exploration has been carried out since the emergent demand for battery and critical minerals. Gempart collected ten rock chip samples from pegmatites and surrounds. Assays for lithium, niobium and tantalum are very disappointing with no anomalous values. The results suggest there is little potential for a commercial discovery and the tenement has been surrendered.
