Abstract: | This report details exploration undertaken during the twelve month reporting period between 4th April 2016 and 3rd April 2017. This report is for Exploration License EL 30883 (Ewan Edward Project). The Tenement lies within the Tennant Creek Mineral Field and is highly prospective for epigenetic structurally controlled ironstone and related gold copper mineralisation. During the 2016 dry season Truscott continued to carry out field mapping work. The main goals of the mapping exercise were to map elements of regional and local mineralised structures to further develop the understanding of the projects regional and local structural setting. In addition to mapping the location of ironstone outcrops, particular attention was paid to the ground expression of the 083 dextral shear and the resultant 063 (compression), and 103 (extensional) shear zones. A previously unmapped shear Sigma 1 was also noted (Strain Analysis diagram Figure 3) and its importance will be checked at other locations next field trip. These shear zones occur both locally and regionally and are visable on Google Earth, gravity survey maps and are also found on the ground during field mapping exercises. |
