Title: | Beetaloo Basin 2D Reprocessing Phase II - Processing Report |
Title Holder / Company: | Falcon Oil & Gas Australia Origin Energy |
Report id: | PR2022-G001 |
Tenure: | EP76; EP98; EP117 |
Year: | 2022 |
Corporate Author: | Origin Energy Land Seismic Noise Specialists |
Abstract: | As the quality of the legacy seismic data of the EP117 and EP98 was not satisfactory, Origin attempted reprocessing of the available raw data in order to better define the structural continuity and fault resolution. Origin contracted Land Seismic Noise Specialists based in Denver, United States, to reprocess 2055.3km of 2D lines required to better delineate the structural geometry of the sub-basin and increase the confidence of correlations between well penetrations to provide a more robust plaaning tool for future well locations. Objectives for this reprocessing project were: Improved imaging of the primary reservoir target intervals, including detailed review on processing flow, testing, and impact of different methodologies on the resultant image. Improving the definition of faulting, preferably maximizing prediction of the fault planes from seismic data. Ensuring the processing flow is equally applicable on all vintages of lines to provide a robust multi line solution. |
NOTE: | Digital processed data (1.6TB) is in separate record - PR2022-G002 - and is available on request. |
