Abstract: | Transition Minerals commissioned RSC to lead the exploration programme for the Mathison project area, involving both desktop and field studies. A mineral prospectivity study, using machine-learning to analyse the mineral potential of all of Transition Minerals' tenements in the Northern Territory, was completed in late 2021. Results from this study, combined with historical exploration data, mapped laterite surface, and accessibility, were used to define the 19 target areas within the Mathison project area. A first-pass reconnaissance programme was completed in 2021 using a pXRF instrument to analyse samples in the field, with the aim of testing historical values of V as well as increasing Transition Minerals' geological understanding of the area. A total of 18 rock-chip and soil samples were collected and analysed in the field. A broader soil and rock-chip sampling programme is planned for the 2022 field season to further test the target areas. |
