Abstract: | In 2004 Young Geoconsultants Pty Ltd was engaged by the Northern Territory Geological Survey to undertake a regional interpretation of the Amadues Basin. The main objectives of this project were to gain a significant improvement of understanding of the structural style and tectonic history of the Southern Area of the Amadeus basin, to be able to provide a digital database of previous surveys, and to provide explorers information and assistance in exploration for the future potential of the basin. Areas included in the study: Missionary Plain, Mt Rennie - Ooraminna, Seymour Range, Central Amadeus, Camel Flat, Weeks Amadeus, East Mereenie, Glen Edith, Johnstone, Alice, Tempe Vale, Highway, Walker Creek, Gosses Bluff, Undandita, Limestone Anticline, South Ooraminna, West Mereenie, West Dingo, Areyonga, Wallara Ranch, BMR, Harajica, Tarawarra, West Mereenie, Murphy's Range, Parrarra, Tempe Downs, Depot Hill, Palm Valley & Walker Creek. |
