Abstract: This report describes exploration activities primarily for gold undertaken by Northern Star (Tanami) Pty Ltd over EL 9843 and EL 22061 as part of the Farrands Hill Project GR183/11 between 1 January 2016 and 31 December 2016. The centre of the Project area is located approximately 550 km northwest of Alice Springs along the Tanami Road to Rabbit Flat thence 18 km northeast via exploration tracks. The Project is also located approximately 42 km east-southeast of the Company's Central Tanami Project gold processing plant which is currently under care and maintenance. Work completed by Northern Star (Tanami) Pty Ltd comprised: a regional soil geochemical analysis; MIRA depth of cover analysis with assessment of regional tectono-stratigraphy of the Tanami; a preliminary regional structural interpretation; and planning of regional infill aeromagnetic/radiometric surveys. It is NST's intention to fully re-evaluate the whole Tanami Region of interest including projects such as Farrands Hill to completely ascertain: the reasoning behind and geological basis of previous exploration activities; and the effectiveness and completeness of previous exploration activities. NST is currently undertaking the above two processes in as most effective and prioritised manner as possible in order to determine where in its many project areas, including Farrands Hill, that it will need to commence its own exploration activities from a completely clean slate based on new sampling techniques and undercover technologies available. A Regional Exploration MMP was submitted to DPIR in December 2016 while NST also holds various approved Sacred Site Clearance certificates from the CLC in order to carry out low-impact geochemical sampling over NST's regional tenure including Farrands Hill.
