Abstract: | 2D Magnetic 'worm' mapping is available on the NT Data Package and was used to identify possible target areas for further exploration within EL 29499 on the basis that these worms represent the edges of geological features such as geological units and faults and may be potential sites for mineralisation. Also examined was the overall length of worm traces as a guide to the persistence of structures over distance. As only a 2D image was available, no depth analysis was undertaken. On the basis that mineralisation is more likely to be concentrated in areas where edge features such as geological contacts/boundaries and structural features cross, four potential targets have been identified within EL 29499. Whether actual mineralisation actually exists within any of these targets will be the subject of ongoing exploration. |
