Abstract: In this report, we present laser ablation inductively-coupled plasma mass spectrometer (LA-ICP-MS) U-Pb isotope data for detrital zircons from 23 drill core sandstone samples from the McArthur Basin, northern Australia. The aim of this geochronological study was to constrain the maximum depositional age and provenances of the sandstones from different stratigraphic units (Bukalara Sandstone, Bessie Creek Sandstone, Moroak Sandstone, Kyalla Formation, upper Velkerri Formation, Lynott Formation, Barney Creek Formation, Wollogorang Formation and Mamadawerre Sandstone) in the McArthur Basin.
NOTETarlee-S3 and Shenandoah 1 & 1A were sampled but derived no data.
