McArthur Project Annual Report EL 31045 Nathan River for the period 29 September 2017 to 28 September 2018

Abstract

EL 31045 ('Nathan River') is part of the McArthur Project, owned and operated by Alta Zinc Limited ('Alta') (formerly named Energia Minerals Limited). It is located some 100km WNW of Borroloola, Northern Territory, 100km NW of the McArthur River mining centre. The tenement is being explored for Base Metals. The tenement is predominantly underlain by Mesoproterozoic sediments of the Roper, Nathan, McArthur, and Tallawah groups of the McArthur Basin. Numerous base metal and barite occurrences are noted in the region. Work completed during 2017-2018 on EL 31045 included, further completion of geological, geochemical and geophysical data compilation, and interpretation of basin structure and potential. Further exploration works are warranted and planned, but heritage issues with the nearby EL 25272 and EL 31046 are currently hampering on ground access.
