McArthur Project Annual Report EL 31045 Nathan River for the period 29 September 2018 to 28 September 2019

Abstract

EL 31045 (Nathan River) is part of the McArthur Project, owned and operated by Alta Zinc Limited (Alta Zinc) (formerly named Energia Minerals Limited). It is located some 100 km WNW of Borroloola, Northern Territory, 100 km NW of the McArthur River mining centre. The tenement is being explored for Base Metals. The tenement is predominantly underlain by Mesoproterozoic sediments of the Roper, Nathan, McArthur, and Tallawah groups of the McArthur Basin. Numerous base metal and barite occurrences are noted in the region. Since acquiring EL 25272, Alta has undertaken a significant amount of work on developing an understanding of basin architecture, compiling open file data and interpreting geophysical datasets and continues to be keen to investigate to potential of the McArthur Basin. During 2018-2019 no exploration work was undertaken on EL 31045. While further exploration works are warranted and planned, the commencement of planned exploration strategies during the year was delayed pending the resolution of heritage issues with the contiguous EL 25272 and EL 31046.
