Abstract

Activities included a structural interpretation, integrating multiple datasets, determining timing, geometry and movement. A surface geology interpretation focused on the veracity of historical mapping, comparing regional and local stratigraphic descriptions, and improving understanding of depositional environments and basin development in the region. A targeted ground geophysics program consisting of an electromagnetic survey and a gravity survey with four traverses of closely-spaced stations, aimed to validate previously acquired airborne gravity gradiometry data over key area of the Teena - Boko corridor. A diamond drilling program ran between August - November producing 7 holes, and a total of 4,927 m. All drill core was lithologically and petrophysically logged, and geochemically assayed. Boko, Buffalo Lagoon, and Teena South were identified as prospective basins. Of those, Boko was downgraded after geochemical and geophysical surveys, and Teena South was eliminated after drill testing. Buffalo Lagoon is still considered a viable target which warrants further target definition activities. A rehabilitation program conducted in early November successfully rehabilitated eight drill sites, and various tracks, as well as establishing monitoring protocols for the next two years. Engagement with the community was largely positive, and once the drilling campaign commenced, a local field assistant was employed.
