Abstract: | An extensive review of company reports was completed to help assess the prospectivity of regional targets within the Carrara project area. No field exploration activities were conducted in the project area in 2013 due to heritage clearance issues. Open file review has reinforced the view that the project area has not been effectively tested for sediment hosted massive sulfide (SHMS) deposits. Field activities will start with geological and regolith mapping, rock chip and orientation soil sampling. The effectiveness of surface geochemical methods will be assessed after first ground visits and will vary according to regolith and cover properties. Ground EM and/or IP surveys or airborne EM-Falcon surveys will be considered as first step geophysical methods to identify targets. |
