Abstract: | EL 25120 is located about 9 km E of Hayes Creek, Northern Territory. The project area is located within the central part of the Pine Creek Orogen (PCO) which is a tightly folded sequence of Palaeo-Proterozoic rocks, 10km to 14km in thickness, laid down on a rifted granitic Archaean basement during the interval ~2.2-1.87Ga. In the tenement area, rocks of the South Alligator Group on the margin of a anticlinal structure known as the Golden Dyke Dome have been intruded by sills of Zamu Dolerite and the McMinn's Bluff Granite. Element 92 Pty Ltd has explored the EL for uranium and copper mineralisation. During the reporting period exploration consisted of geological reconnaissance and rock chip sampling around the Heatley's Lead and Copper Prospects. |
