Abstract: No on ground exploration completed during the first year. Work done to date by previous explorers has indicated that the areas covered by EL 29449 to EL 29452 has potential for the discovery of uranium, potash, gypsum and copper mineralisation. These mineral plays are of concealed orebody types and so will require adequate exploration budgets commensurate with the risks involved. The risks are high but the area has been extremely under-explored and the chances of success are also good. The uranium play has a good chance of success although exploration will be expensive due to the concealed nature of the target and the remote location. The author recommends that further data capture be undertaken focussing on completing and modelling the stratigraphy. Also all data captured by the petroleum exploration wells should be obtained and modelled with the above work. An orientation field visit should be undertaken to locate the features mentioned in this report and understand the problems of mineral exploration in this region.
