Title: Processing and Analysis of Aeromagnetic Survey Data over part of the Amadeus Basin Northern Territory Australia Palm Valley: OL3 Pilot study - Phase 1
Title Holder / Company: Magellan Petroleum
Report id: PR2002-0105
Tenure: OL3
Year: 2002
Corporate Author: Archimedes Consulting
Abstract: This special processing, analysis and interpretation of the magnetic data over a part of the Palm Valley oil fields in the Amadeus Basin by Archimedes Consulting Pty Ltd, provided information which suggests that numerous structures within the sedimentary sequences of the Pacoota Formation can be detected from the magnetic data. This study was conducted using two merged, 400m-spaced aeromagnetic surveys, using data obtained by NTGS. Methods of analysis and interpretation includes Energy Spectral Analysis applied to grid data, and Automatic Curve Matching applied to the profile data extracted from the grid.
