Abstract: | Exploration Licence 8797 was acquired by Tanami NT Pty Ltd (TNT) on 30 March 2010 from Australian Tenement Holdings Pty Ltd (ATH), a wholly owned subsidiary of Newmont Asia Pacific. TNT, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tanami Gold NL, is exploring the tenement for gold as part of its Central Tanami project area. The tenement is located approximately 30km northwest of Central Tanami Gold Mine along the Tanami Track (Figure 1). A program of 7 AC holes totaling 609m was drilled to test for significant Au mineralisation in a 800m long sub 100ppb Au anomalous zone in historic RAB drilling. The anomalous zone is confirmed but no significant results over 100ppb Au were returned. Future exploration should test if this zone is marginal to significant mineralisation in a re-interpreted fault to the east where there is no previous drilling. |
