Abstract: EL 28232 is contiguous with the northern boundary of EL 27732 and covers the area of the Douglas Daly River and approaches. It is the most northern part of the Fenton Shear before it is intersected by a major NE-SW cross structure. The Douglas Baly River appears to be a subsequent watercourse to this cross structure. A milestone exploration review by St George outlined a predictive model that was able to provide new targeting tools. Surprisingly, the centre of the gold system within EL 27732 is now believed to be in the northern area (immediately south of EL 28232) rather than in the southern area of EL 27732 where high-grade gold was intersected in FEND-18. A multi-element MMI (Mobile Metal Ion) soil geochemical survey is planned for the 2013 field season to test this northern target. A study was made to determine the nature of the complex structural setting in the EL 28232 area, in reference to the target continuity to the north. A site inspection was made to assess access conditions in this area to see if a MMI survey could be extended to the north. A decision was made to attempt to push the planned MMI soil geochemical survey as far north as the regulatory and local conditions would allow.
