Title: Westminster Project Annual Report for the period 1 January 2012 to 31 December 2012 MLC 511
Title Holder / Company: Truscott Mining
Report id: CR2012-1088
Tenure: MLC511
Year: 2012
Author: Hanson, JA
Abstract: Exploration activities during the reporting period have included: detailed prospect structural interpretation and mapping, reverse circulation drilling, plus drill site rehabilitation. This work has further confirmed the potential for MLC 511 to host significant gold and base metal ore grade mineralization. Field mapping indicated that the alignment of the targeted ore zone within MLC 511, along a strike of 083o is crosscut and enriched by shearing structures having an East-West orientation. Mapped structures define positions within a three dimensional space that regional deformation events interact. The interpreted interaction zones are seen as places for potential ironstone hosted high grade gold mineralisation. The drilling has defined a target matrix that includes 3 potential mineralised lenses within MLC 511 and a further 4 lenses in MLC 511 that cross into Tenement EL 25952. Each lens is considered to constitute a stacked series of mineralised ironstone ore pods. Drilling has confirmed the presence of ore grade gold mineralization along two separate ironstone pods. Drilling along zones of ironstone mineralisation has interpreted to be the down plunge extension of the mineralisation of the historical Wheal Doria workings. A lower zone was also identified and lies below the historical workings and is associated with strong carbonate zones of alteration.
