Production from the Mud Tank mine commenced in the last quarter of 1995 with first sales of vermiculite in December 1995. Production from 1995 to 2003 produced 70,000 tonnes of vermiculite which grossed $22 million. Previous exploration over the area included work by Geopeko, Flinders Diamonds and later Maximus Resources.
