Abstract: | EL 26899 Flora, lies within the Daly Basin, west of Katherine and was acquired initially for its potential to host rock phosphate. This year with the announcements by TUC Resources of encouraging drill results at their Scaramanga HREE Prospect, the focus of work has been to review all public data pertaining to the TUC Resources exploration effort. Exploration planning has subsequently been modified to include HREE potential with a Geophysical Collaboration with the NT Government being approved for an airborne radiometric/magnetic survey to be carried out during the coming year. Future work will continue to include evaluation of rock phosphate potential as well as HREE potential. During the reporting period the following work was carried out: Review of regional radiometric, magnetic, landsat and mineral data; Geological review of recent HREE discoveries and exploration targets to the north of EL 26899; HREE market review; Geological review of EL 26899; Design of airborne radiometric survey, application for survey collaboration; and Preliminary reconnaissance to establish tenement access season and route. |
