Abstract: | There are no known mineral occurrences here but areas of the Kombolgie Formation and West Branch Volcanics have been selectively stream sampled. BHP Minerals Ltd sampling in 1989 identified elevated Cu, Pb, Zn, As, Ba, Co, Cr, Ni, and Zr values from the West Branch Volcanics that are probably consistent with the geochemistry of the mafic volcanics. Later sampling by Stockdale Prospecting Ltd in 1992 gave elevated values of Mn, Ba, Zn and Cr with one highly anomalous value of 691ppmZn. A helicopter was hired by AIR during the 2018/2019 reporting period (included in the Seventh Annual Technical Report for GR276) to fly around and land in EL 28871 to evaluate the Lease. Based on visual examination it has been decided to relinquish the lease. |
