| Abstract: | Three alleged oil seeps have been reported within the Simpson Desert, but none has been verified. The principal interest in the search for oil is centred the Early Cretaceous and the Cambro-Ordovician marine developments as potential source beds for oil. Extensive aerial reconnaissance has been carried out, and photogeological interpretations were also prepared. |
