Abstract: The tenements are located approximately 70 kilometres south of Darwin and adjoin the original mine sites of the Whites and Intermediate (Rum Jungle) Deposits. During 2010 a large scale detailed airborne electromagnetic/magnetic survey and an infill ground gravity survey were carried out over the tenement holdings of Compass Resources in the Batchelor locality including Mineral Leases N 139 to 147 and 150 to 152. The airborne survey consisted of 100m flight line spacings and the gravity stations were set to infill the data existing at 500m grid spacing. Mining of the oxide deposit began on the tenements in 2008 and September saw the first copper production from the Browns Oxide Plant. As Compass Resources were placed in Voluntary Administration, mining ceased in 2009.
