Title: | EL 30039 Area reduction report from 13 May 2016 to 12 May 2018 |
Title Holder / Company: | Argeco |
Report id: | CR2018-0263 |
Tenure: | EL30039 |

Author: | Archer, G |
Abstract: | The work completed by Argeco over relinquished blocks of EL 30039 included review of historical open file geological, geochemical and Landsat data and processing and interpretation of open file geophysical data covering the tenement. Primary commodities being searched for include Gold, Tin, Tantalum, Copper and nickel. The dominant geological structure is the NNE striking Giants Reef Fault cross cutting the eastern boundary of the license. The predominant geology on the license is early proterozoic granite and Archaean Hermit Creek Metamorphics. Early proterozoic Wangi basics and the Burrell Creek Formation have also been observed. Field work was carried out on the northern part of the license. Little out crop was observed. Some samples were able to be taken and from paleochannel outcrop. Bruker pXRF measurements were taken for various samples and submitted to the Mines Department. New Landsat 8 satellite data was acquired during the period and various processing carried out over the license area. The available SRTM data were also processed. The reason for block reduction was that retained blocks were considered the most economically prospective for the mineralisation being sought and containing or likely to contain targets of interest, with relinquished blocks considered of less economic interest, based on the available data, and extent of work carried out at the time. |
