Abstract: During the reporting period CKA submitted an application for, and was granted, Collaboration funding to drill a single diamond hole to 800m at residual gravity anomaly F (an IOCG residual gravity target beneath the Georgina basin sediments) within EL 27526. Drilling commenced but the hole was postponed at the completion of the precollar (at 441m) whilst the company reconsidered its exploration strategy in the light of the recent and exciting diamond indicator mineral results from nearby hole CKAD0001 (drilled in 2012). Assay results from diamond hole CKAD0001 returned low order anomalous multi-element values at the cover-basement interface. Subsequently 4 samples were submitted for diamond indicator mineral analysis. Results were very encouraging with pyropes returned from a breccia intersected at the interface between the basement and Cambrian cover sequence (603.25m to 605m) and from fractured and altered basement rock between 605m to 623.8m. Probe analysis of the breccia pyrope confirmed kimberlitic G9 pyrope composition with a transport distance of less than 5km. The presence of pyrope from the basement sample suggests the source kimberlite may be much closer. These results indicate that the breccia at the basement-cover interface is associated with pyroclastic material from a nearby kimberlitic pipe which intruded prior to the deposition of the Cambrian cover sequence of the Georgina basin. The presence of pyrope, phlogopite, xenocrysts and breccias/over pressure textures in the basement core are now being investigated by a petrologist. CKA Resources is very encouraged by the discovery of kimberlitic indicators G9 pyropes in its exploration hole CKAD0001. Specialist advice has been sought and CKA is currently reviewing its exploration strategy. Cowan Geodata Sevices completed a review of geophysical data for the entire project with a focus on diamond/kimberlite potential. A number of potential kimberlite targets were identified. Exploration for 2014 will primarily focus on the renewed diamond potential of the project. Further refining of Cowan's geophysical analysis to finalise kimberlite target selection will be undertaken with detailed geological considerations essential. Exploration models for both pre- Georgina basin kimberlites and post-syn Georgina basin kimberlites will be developed with on ground testing planned for 2014.
