Abstract: The George Project is located directly south of the township of Adelaide River, approximately 100 kilometres southeast of Darwin in the Northern Territory. The project area covers 26 blocks (84.45 km) and is located on the Pine Creek 1:250 000 Sheet (SD52-08) and the Batchelor 1:100 000 sheet (5171). The George Project is situated within the Central Region of the Pine Creek Orogen and comprises Early Proterozoic units of the Finniss River and possibly the South Alligator Group. Regional geology predominately comprises well-bedded siltstone, greywacke and conglomerate of the Burrell Creek Formation and the Depot Creek Sandstone of the Tolmer Group. During the reporting period Royal Resources Limited ('Royal') underwent an extensive review of Aldershot's pre-existing geological database which included historical work carried out since the 1950s. Field activities involved two foot-borne radiometric surveys over the Adelaide River Mine and the George Creek Prospect to achieve infill lines on existing data. This was followed by reverse circulation and diamond drilling and sampling targeting the extensions of mineralisation at the Adelaide River Mine and testing exploration surface anomalies to the north of the George Creek Prospect. A soil orientation survey over the Adelaide River Mine area was carried out along with reconnaissance ground work and rock chip sampling. Exploration activities over the reporting period have assisted in testing the possible extensions of known mineralisation and results, albeit unsatisfactory, identified untested zones for further investigation.
