Abstract: | During the reporting period, Territory Iron carried out the following exploration activities on tenement AN389: Reconnaissance and geological mapping; Literature review and report compilation; and Hyperspectral image analysis and target generation. A desktop study was undertaken to summarise what was known about the tenement and to develop targets for ground testing. The desktop study consisted of a literature review; compilation of data inherited from Arafura Resources and a target generation exercise, based on the inherited data and from Territory Iron's HyVista imagery. In particular, the kaolinite mineral maps where re-assessed given the previously overlooked but known association between kaolinite distribution and Fe and Au mineralisation at Frances Creek. The generated targets were later ground tested, whilst geological mapping was completed on the western half of AN 389. |
